Miyan Taushe is a savoury Northern Nigerian soup made from mashed pumpkin and groundnut paste. It's hearty, subtly sweet, and traditionally served with tuwo shinkafa (rice balls) or tuwo masara (cornmeal balls).

Cook meat with onions and seasoning until tender.
Add mashed pumpkin and groundnut paste to the broth.
Stir well and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add dawadawa, peppers and palm oil.
Cook for another 10 minutes.
Stir in spinach and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve with tuwo shinkafa (rice balls) or tuwo masara (cornmeal balls).
